The Napa Valley Museum is a great place to discover the history of the Napa Valley . The downstairs History Gallery takes visitors through time beginning with geology, how the land was formed, early Native American settlers, culture and what has made the area an internationally-respected grape-growing and wine-producing region. Artifacts including Native American baskets, arrowheads, pioneer tools, Chinese clothing, mining equipment, paintings and a children's discovery area give the whole family something to see.

Upstairs, visitors can see changing art exhibitions. There are educational programs and events like Southern Fried Chicken Dinner; Barbecue, Ribs & Wine; Mexican Independence celebration; Spirit of '45; Fossils, Minerals and Nature's Oddities; a visit from the Mobile Bee Van...something is always going on.

There are summer camps, too! Picnic on the grounds and enjoy the tranquil setting and sculpture.
