Get away from the Napa Valley crowds and traffic...

...enjoy some of Napa's most secluded and secret spots!

A Secluded Lake: Bird and Wildflower Sanctuary at Lake Hennessey
This incredibly secluded and quiet reservoir (no motor boats allowed) MAY see about 10 people on a "busy" day, but it's only about 5 miles from St Helena. Take 128 East from either Highway 29 or the Silverado Trail, and wend your way along a gently winding road to the parking area on your left. The crystal clear waters reflect the shoreline in the morning and at dusk. The hills sloping down to the water are covered with wildflowers in spring, and the lake is a well-known sighting spot for golden eagle, bald eagle, osprey, hawks, great blue heron, and white egrets. Take a cool drink, some cheese, and crackers, and relax far away from the Napa Valley crowds as you soak up the incredible beauty.

A Walk in the Redwoods: Bothe State Park http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=477
Take a walk through magnificent coastal redwoods and drink in the beauty of all the green ferns. Enjoy the beautiful relaxing sound of the rushing creek water flowing over the rocky bed, as you enjoy the majestic redwoods, fir, and madrone trees. Take a few moments just to sit and listen to the birds- it's Napa Valley's most incredible secret spot!

A Ride through Paradise: Triple Creek Horse Outfit http://www.triplecreekhorseoutfit.com...
Ride a trusty steed over the hills and meadows of Napa Valley. Skirt world-famous vineyards and enjoy the views of wildflowers, trees, mountains in the serenity and solitude of a historic state park. Enjoy the peace and the lack of crowds as you see Napa Valley much as its early settlers did

A walk with the birds:  Wetlands Trail.  Run, walk, skate, bike or segway the Wetlands trail by the Napa River.  Start at Kennedy Park, the trail hugs the river and goes about 2 miles.  Round trip is close to 4 miles.
