By plane:  There are two airports which are used equally by visitors interested in reaching the Long Beach area.  The first is the Long Beach Airport ( http://www.longbeach.gov/airport/) which is located halfway between Los Angeles and Orange County.  This airport is a major airport which is served by a number of nationally recognized airlines such as Delta and JetBlue.  The other airport option is LAX, the Los Angeles area international airport.  This airport is a bustling airport which gets crowded at all times of the year, so if flights to the Long Beach Airport are possible, they are highly recommended.  Visitors almost always rent a car upon arrival at either airport.

By car:  Travelers coming through Los Angeles or Orange County will take Interstate 405 towards Long Beach.  Interstate 405 will have an exit for 710 South which leads straight in to the heart of North beach.  A helpful driving map for travelers interested in getting their bearings is online at http://www.visitlongbeach.com/Visitor... .

By train:  Many people opt to take the train to Long Beach.  AMTRAK information for Long Beach is available at http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/Content... .

By bus:   Greyhound Bus is also an option for low-budget visitors interested in spending time in Long Beach.   The terminal is located in downtown Long Beach.
