Shopping in Johannesburg is world class!

Most of the shopping is done in malls as opposed to 'street' shopping although that still does exist!

Sandton City - situated in the north of the city - three floors chock-full of department stores, designer boutiques, curio shops, food courts, cinemas etc.

Fourways Mall - situated in the far north of the city - again, same as above.

Killarney Mall - situated in the lower north of the city - two floors, same as above

There are also shopping malls in the east, west, south and north of the city - named appropriately - Eastgate, Westgate, Southgate and Northgate!

4th street in Parkhurst is known as 'Antique Alley' - a street bursting with all kinds of antique shops and restaurants.

If you are interested in  African traditional healing shops, you will find one or two of these in Diagonal Street in the heart of the city centre.
