Marsa Abu Dabab is located south of Marsa Alam International Airport on the way to the town of Marsa Alam.  It is a very popular snorkelling and diving trip due to the opportunity to see green turtles with the possibility of dugong sightings.

The bay is sheltered with a reef system to the north and south of the bay,  a sandy bed with sea grass lies between.  Access to the sea is from the sandy beach.  Dive boats are no longer allowed to operate in the bay in an effort to protect the marine life that lives in and visits the bay, more info is available on the HEPCA website.
