Surprisingly to some people, the city of Juneau does offer some pretty upstanding nightlife.  It is home to several bars and clubs, many of which are quite busy during the week, as well as on the weekends, when the Alaskan state legislature is in session.  Among the most popular of Juneau's clubs is The Viking Bar, an open-concept bar and nightclub with a dance floor, Karaoke and  pool tables.  Another popular spot is The Bar at the Alaskan Hotel which is on the Register of National Historic Places and is known for its live music, hip atmosphere, and friendly bartenders.  Visitors to Juneau may also want to try The Triangle Club which has a reputation for being the hangout of "real Alaskans" as is also known to be a favorite place for Alaskan politicians to conduct business.
