The ZipRider is a bit like an amusement park ride in that in involves a long wait before a thrilling but short payoff.  The bus ride to the top is about 45 minutes, and then there could be a queue of people waiting at the top (especially later in the day).  Bringing rain gear is a good precaution, since covered space at the top is limited.

However, the ride itself is wonderful, well worth the cost in time and money.  It produces more of a sensation of open space than great height or high speed.  Hats and glasses are likely to blow off, though, so if you need glasses to see or wear contact lenses, ask about borrowing a pair of goggles.  Each chair harness has a pouch for personal itemsto ride down safely with you.  Taking photographs or video during the ride is permitted, but still photographs are unlikely to capture the experience very well, and there are ZipRider videos already on youtube.

While on the ride, you may start to twist in the wind.  To control this, hold the opposite hand out to the side.  To go more slowly, hold out both hands.  The stop at the bottom is sudden and loud, but not uncomfortable.
