Playas del Coco is an area which is best known for its beaches, which means that it is most frequently enjoyed by travelers who are heading there on summer vacation.  However, because the area is warm all year round, it is also popular with travelers interested in getting away to a warm area during winter vacations.  The area is particularly busy during the Christmas Holidays.  Additionally, it is known as a spring break vacation area and becomes quite active during that time.

The average temperature of the area during any time of year is a comfortable seventy to eighty degrees.  This means that it is warm enough to enjoy the water surrounding the area but not so hot that the beaches themselves can’t be enjoyed.  Interestingly, the hottest season of the year begins in March and ends in May, because cool breezes tend to make the area cool off again in the summer.

Travelers interested in avoiding the rain should actually not go to the area during the summer, as that is the time of greatest rain in the area.  The end of the summer and beginning of fall are the months which experience the most rain.  The months just before and after are included in the rainy season.  The winter season experiences almost no rain and makes a good time for a trip.
