Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC (HMMA) is Hyundai's first assembly and manufacturing plant in the United States.  This $1.4 billion automotive plant is one of the most advanced assembly plants in North America.

HMMA currently employs more than 3,300 Team Members who are building Hyundai's next generation Sonata sedan and the all new Santa Fe sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the Hyundai Alabama plant.

The 2-million square-foot manufacturing plant resides on 1,744 acres of land and includes a stamping facility, paint shop, vehicle assembly shop, a two-mile test track, and two engine shops. HMMA produces 300,000 vehicles per year at full capacity.

HMMA offers FREE plant tours to the public. Reservations are required.
Tour Days and Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. No tours are given on holidays, the week of the 4th of July or the week between Christmas Day and New Years.
Plan to Stay: Approximately 1½ hours
Minimum Age: First graders with parent or guardian; third graders for school groups (at least 1 adult for each 10 students). No children under age 6.
Gift Shop: The shop sells Hyundai promotional merchandise. Open Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 a.m.-6:00 pm (closed 12:45-1:15 p.m. for lunch). Gift Shop is closed holidays, the week of the 4th of July and the week between Christmas Day and New Years.
