Austin has a trolley system called the "dillo" (short for armadillo!) that runs routes north and south and east-west through downtown.  Trips on the 'Dillo are 50 cents and the trollies run every five minutes on weekdays.  Maps of the routes and their times are available at the Visitor’s Center at 209 E. 6th Street, 7 days a week from 9-5.

The metro system for the city of Austin has clean buses that are easy to use, inexpensive and even free on ozone action days.
