This area plays not only host to some of the best Indian restaurants and Indian Temples in Kuala Lumpur; but also to some of the best massage centres. Walk down Jalan Tun Sambathan 4 (the inner main road) and you will encounter a number of massage centers run by the visually-impaired offering affordable but effective Thai, traditional Malay and Chinese massages. These masseurs are fully trained by the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) which has its headquarters in Brickfields and at the special training school for the blind, St. Nicholas Penang.
A simple but effective foot reflexology starts from RM 10; and a one hour full-body massage starts from RM 30. Though these are only centers and not full-equipped spas; they offer a very good experience for those who are looking for pamper with a reasonable price tag. Most centers are air-conditioned. Without the support and help from the customers; most blind masseurs will be forced to live on the streets and beg for a living.

Getting there
To get to Brickfields; take a lrt/bus/monorail to KL Sentral. Walk into Brickfields. If you are taking a cab; ask the driver to stop you at the YMCA Brickfields. The row of shophouses starts from here and you will find many blind massage centers. Highly recommended massage centres: Gemilang Reflexology & Therapy Resources (no.15) and Blind Master Massage Centre(no.17A) along Jalan Tun Sambathan 4.  For a complete list of masseurs and centre operated with the help of MAB and NCBM, kindly refer to this Website  at the National Council For The Blind, Malaysia.

Caution !!
AVOID massage centers that are NOT run by the blind or with MAB/NCBM. Massage centers operated by syndicates are popping up around the area to compete with the REAL trained blind masseurs. These syndicates do not employ trained masseurs and they also offer "erotic" services through girls from Mainland China at the centers. There has been many police raids recently at such illegal centers and it's the last place you want to visit. These syndicates do not pay their masseurs well and some of the blind masseurs and lady workers under these gangs have been found to be locked up and forced to live under inhumane conditions. DO NOT support such centers.
