Hoi An has plenty of restaurants. Especially the area around Nguyen Tai Hoc Street, Bach Dang Street and Le Loi has a good choice. What's just discovered close to Hoi An is Cam Nam Island. This tiny Island in the delta of The Thu Bon River has a lot to offer. There are plenty of local restaurants at the back of the island with delicious food. All restaurants are river view.

There are also some Vietnamese and Western entrepreneurs who have been starting business on Cam Nam Island. There is Pho Hoi Resort and the Van Loi Hotel. Both with swimming pool. There is Randy's BookXchange with a enormous choice of books in 15 different languages. For travelers who like nightlife you can go to the Sleepy Gecko Bar. The owner Steve can also update your Ipod. On the main street you got the King Kong Bar. This bar stays open till 5 am.

Last but not least there is the Lighthouse Restaurant.

They offer great food, a wonderful view, bicycle tours and cooking classes. They also run a free boat ride from Bach Dang Street in the old quarter of Hoi An to Cam Nam Island.

You also can reach Cam Nam Island by the Cam Nam Bridge. The nature and rural life on this island is beautiful. There are  a lot of workshops to see, a local ship yard and beautiful family temples, local markets and fishing boats

It's really worth to visit this forgotten life only 5 minutes walk from the market in Hoi An. Enjoy!Small creek on Cam Nam Island
