Alexandria Bay is a beautiful town in New York State, situated along the St. Lawrence Seaway, and surrounded by some of the 1860 islands that make up the 1000 Island region .

Located in the northern part of the state, across the St. Lawrence River from Ontario, Alexandria Bay has a cool climate.  The summer months bring daytime temperatures in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s, while during the winter months the mercury drops to the 30’s and below.  The area is beautiful year round, but most tourists choose to visit during the warmer summer months.

There are fifteen Marinas lining the shores of Alexandria Bay, which goes to show how much the ocean access means to their community.  Fishing in Alexandria Bay has recently gotten recognition of being one of the best places in the United States. With plenty of Fishing Charters based in the town, visitors have many options for getting out on the water.

A good way to get to know an unfamiliar area better is by studying its geography.  Get started by looking at a Map of the Northeastern US, a Map of New York, and a Map of Alexandria Bay .
