The international traveler arrives in Shenzhen by air or by sea. If you arrive by air, your plane will land at Shenzhen Bao'an international Airport. It features modern facilities (the traveler who need to wait for his/her connection can walk and browse its shopping areas or relax at its resting areas or health care rooms) and it is one of China’s fourth biggest airport. More than 100 international and national airlines service this airport connecting Shenzhen with more than 60 cities in China and abroad. Located about 20 miles from downtown, the best way to leave the airport is by taxi, limousine or car.
If by sea, the traveler arrives by ferry (there is a Super class ferry from Hong Kong International Airport) or by ship toone of Shenzhen Ports (Luohu Port, Huanggang Port and Shekou Port). They are very active cargo and passenger ports (in the first trimester of 2005 almost one million persons arrived or departed from these ports). Passengers will surely arrive in Shekou Port from international locations or national ports as Shangai and Zhuhai.
