Dubrovnik is a young city because of its university. So, there is nightlife year-round. Of course, the summer is when this city really comes to life with a spectacularly vibrant night scene. Most bars in the Old Town are fun to check out during the summer, but in particular some bars to visit are Arsenal, Labirint, Hemingway, Troubadour, and Karaka. Arsenal and Labirint also double as nightclubs. Fuego is another club in Dubrovnik. The East West Beach Club on Banje beach is a cafe by day, and a bar/club by night. Karaka, the Irish pub, is crowded year-round, and yes mainly with tourists. Arsenal is the newest addition to the Dubrovnik club scene and has live music some nights. Troubadour and Hemingway are also very nice upscale bars, keep in mind that all these bars are less than a 1 minute walk away from each other so you could visit all of them in one night, and really any bar or club in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. These bars mentioned are all situated around the Church of St. Blaise. In the off-season, all of the bars are busy during the weekends, but less so on weekdays - Fuego and Arsenal would be the clubs to visit.
