Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a lot of offer families with its history and gorgeous location in the Western Mediterranean. Kids will love to explore the old medieval city on foot, checking out all of its ancient nooks and crannies. And you don't have to be an adult to appreciate the views of the sea from the top of Dubrovnik's limestone cliffs.
When kids tire of exploring the city, families can opt to hop in a boat and take a tour of the harbor or the nearby Elaphite Islands. Finding a boat for hire should not be a problem as there are several along the shore. Hotels can also assist with finding information on boat tours.
Families visiting Dubrovnik during the summer months will also want to check out the Dubrovnik Festival. Held each summer since 1950, the festival offers hundreds of musical performances, food, exhibits and parades during it's six week run.
