Doha presents itself as a competitive city within the Middle East. The City Centre shopping Mall, popularly ranted on as the largest Shopping Mall in the Middle East can only be appreciated once a visit has been made.

Welcomed by lovely waterfalls, state of the art elevators and glass lifts, an endless series of shops can be found on all 3 levels of this Mall. Don't expect to find any easy navigation other than the site map at the entrance of the Mall.

International chains such as Starbucks, Debenhams, Next, Baskin's, Nandos, American Steak House etc, etc fill this huge mall and one can be guaranteed of shopping till they drop..

With the ever expanding expatriate community, it seems this Mall caters for one and all, be it a local resident or someone who is stopping overnight.

With a lovely children's play area offering rides and games, adults can find Internet cafe's and endless sports shops as well as make-up and designer outlets scattered across the Mall.

A huge Cinema on the 3rd floor offers a chance to view the latest films, perhaps a week older than those in the British Cinemas but new! The Cinema is of exquisite standards with comfortable seating and the usual facilities are available.

The Carrefour Hypermarket offers practically everything one needs from a variety of imported grapes, to a delightful section of dates . All sorts of foods, including ready meals and fresh juices to clothes and car accessories can be found. The layout is exactly the same as other Carrefour's found in countries such as  Dubai and Malaysia.

Several other Malls are found in Doha, some within the 5* Hotels and with the endless amount of construction going on, several more are expected to emerge in the months and years to come.

To sum up, anything can be bought and found in Doha. Perhaps not every single brand such as Heinz Baked Beans or Walkers Crisps but a good choice of alternative brands can be found.

The shopping experience in Doha is fun, yes prices are not as cheap but the choice is available and in 2-3 years it will be a much different place with the current changes taking place.
