There are many, many activities on Maui that lend to the entertaining, lively and exciting nights on the island. To start, there is a Maui Arts and Cultural Center which is the location of many performing arts shows such as the symphony, concerts, theatrical productions, and dance shows. Locals and tourists alike flock to this venue to see the performances that take place there.

Most of the hotels have restaurants and bars that are open until the wee hours of the night and most provide a location for live Hawaiian music, dancing, hula shows, and more. Restaurants, bars and lounges outside of the hotels are also good sources for entertainment and are great gathering spots for vacationers traveling with a group of friends, relatives or colleagues.

One of the most wonderful and unique aspects about nightfall on any of the Hawaiian Islands is the view westward. The sunset each night provides a short glimpse of colors and beauty that cannot be seen in pretty much any other place in the United States, and possibly in the world. Crowds normally gather on the beaches to see and absorb the beauty that the few minutes of a Hawaiian sunset has to offer. Sunsets can be viewed from just about any spot on the south and west side of Maui, or any of the other islands.
