One thing that is unique in Corozal that cannot be found anywhere else in Belize but links the small town to Mexico is the towns center. The layout of the town is wide open spaces like town centers in Mexico with the park being the heart of the town. The Catholic Church opposite of the park and the municipal bulding and post office infront of the park. One must do in Corozal, is to visit the munucipal bulding which shows a beautiful painting done by Manuel Villamor of Mexico. On one wall the history of this small Mestizo town flashes before your eyes. From the wars which men brought upon to the hurricanes brought by nature, both destroyed the town in its own way and made way for the changes you see now http://corozal.com/tourism/attraction You could see pictures on the local site.
