The most popular Guide book for Disneyland is The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland by Bob Sehlinger.  It is a great resource that discusses Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Universal Studios Hollywood in length, including touring plans for the theme parks.

The other major one is Birnbaum's Guide, and while it is published by Disney and has some wonderful photos, it is known for being out of date and still contains errors from years ago.

On the internet, there are some sites that provide great inside information and details about the Disneyland Resort and other Southern California attractions.  Of course, TripAdvisor's Insider Pages and Forum are a great place to start.  www.MouseSavers.com keeps track of Disney-owned hotel discounts and many other ways to save money at the parks including food, merchandise and hotels in the area.  If you are looking for News, Rumors and other articles, check the major local newspapers; the Los Angeles Times has a Daily Deal Blog in its Travel section, http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-... .  and the Orange County Register has its own area called Around Disney... http://www.ocregister.com/sections/en....  You can find some great news and rumors articles at  www.MiceAge.com and www.MousePlanet.com

To make sure you ride as many attractions as possible, you can buy a computer program that will map out your visit to minimize wait times. You can find it at www.ridemax.com .  You can also download free apps to your phone to help you monitor ride wait-time, find nearby restrooms, and more.  Go to iTunes and search for "Disneyland".  Currently "MouseWait" is a popular free app.

Don't forget to read the other Insider Pages here at Trip Advisor Anaheim section.  There are some great tips, including the Fastpass Guide, which can help you save time waiting in the queues at Disneyland.
