Written By Jim Hoskins and Chris Phillips. It is a Guide to cover from what to fish to where and how.  It even covers how to prepare and cook your prized catch. A must have for the first time to the avid fisherman.

  • Murder Makes Waves

Written in the series of books the Southern Sisters Mysteries, it is set in Gulf Shores and involves two sisters that always seem to get themselves into one mystery after another. The book keeps you in tears from laughing.  Although it is a funny read, It also really has a good mystery to the story. Written by Birmingham's own Anne George. A must read for the mystery lover in us all.

A famous book written by John Grisham. It features a thrill ride of ups and downs and takes you to the shores of the gulf and to Orange Beach  as well as the Perdido Beach Hilton, now the Perdido Beach Resort.

  • The Barefoot Fisherman's Guide to The Emarald Coast

It covers the waters from Gulf Shores to Apalachicola Florida. It guides you from saltwater basics to making the perfect knots to basic angling techniques. It covers how to pick a location, to winds and waters. It shows you how to navigate to 40 hot spots, how to catch fish and how to cook them. A great read for all fisherman.

Contains topographic maps with unbeatable detail, plus Gazetteer information on great places to go and things to do. It covers where to camp, fishing and hunting, State and National Parks and Forests, unique natural features, scenic drives, and museums/historic sites.
