Queenstown is a city that has activities to do at night all year long, but for the best nightlife it is best to visit during the winter. This is the season when the most visitors and tourists come to the area because of the scenic beauty and skiing. There are other outdoor activities to do as well, and after a day of playing games, people like to go out to restaurants and bars and relax. There are two casinos in Queenstown. Sky Alpine, which is located on Beach Street has tons of gaming machines, live entertainment, and a restaurant and bar. Many times this is the place where the younger crowd will go. The other casino, Wharf Casino, is located in Steamer Wharf. This casino is open until 3 a.m. and it is advised to dress well before going in. There are also a good number of exciting bars and clubs to go to in the city. Shooters Bar has billiards tables and has tv's set up showing sports games. This is a great place to start off the night with a few drinks. If you want to just sit and relax though, head to The Cigar Bar, which is a jazz club where you can just enjoy some cocktails and talk with friends.
