Tourism is this city’s livelihood and early pioneers founded an “association of winter sports,” which help public races and today evolved in the area’s Ski Club. The first hotels were built in 1902, and the once famous mud baths were added in 1909. The official Kitzbühel Tourism Web site offers plenty of additional facts on the region, as well as information on when to visit, area accommodations and other facts about the city.
