Monte Carlo can be an exciting place for families who enjoy international festivals. And there are two that kids and all the family will definitely delight with: the International Circus Festival and the International Fireworks Festival.

Located at the Permanent Circus-Tent at Big Top Espace de Fontvielle, the International Circus Festival takes place every January. This 30-year-old festival features ten days of superb circus acts and performances from all over the world. All sorts of comedians, acrobats, trapeze artists, clowns from places as distant as North Korea, Bulgaria, China, Ecuador, United States, Hungary, Argentina, France and many other countries show their art and technique enthralling kids and adults. For a schedule of shows for the 2007 edition taking place from January 18th to the 28th, check out their website at http://www.montecarlofestivals.com/ or at http://www.veress.se/montecarlofestiv... .

The International Fireworks Festival is a Summer event (happening sometime in July and August, call (800) 753-9396 for updates) where kids can enjoy the most spectacular fireworks they can ever imagine. It is a feast for the eyes. And, it is not a surprise as the most talented pyrotechnic masters of the world go to Monte Carlo to draw with colored lights the most amazing designs on the sky. The kids will need to be up till late as the fireworks begin after 9.
