Geroskipou or Sacred Garden is an area 3km east of Pafos town.  This area was believed to be an extensive and beautiful garden dedicated to the Greek goddess Aphrodite. However, today the garden has been replaced by a modern village which specialises in "Cyprus delights' delicacies.  The highlight of Geroskipou is the Agia Paraskevi Church, a well preserved and interesting Byzantine church.  The beauty and uniqueness of this basilica is its three-aisled interior and  five-domed exterior structure.

On the right-hand side of  the church is an interesting family-owned shop specialising in making and selling  their 'Cyprus delights' and other sweets like sugar almonds, selling their local honey & olive oil too.
