Xaghra, in the beautiful town square there are a few restaurants which are certainly worth a visit. Last year was our first visit. Oleanders was our first pit stop having been recommended by the local holiday rep. It was very busy but having found a table we ordered our dinner, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had complimentary bread, sheeps cheese and olives, and the menu was varied, with a good selection of wines.  Our meal was delightful, service excellent, cost of meal reasonable (wine we found expensive) inside and outside dining area.

The Aztec restaurant which is situated in close proximity to the Oleander, although smaller, offers  altogether an excellent mouthwatering menu. The meals are good portions and I really have to say the fish starter or main dish is a must, this comes in a bowl, full of razor fish, mussels, squid, prawns and other assorted fish. Absolutely yummy, cant wait to go back this year! Meat dishes are cooked to perfection I can well recommend this restaurant. Staff are again friendly and service is good, excellent value for money. Probably our most favourite restaurant on the island. There is an inside and outside dining area. Ten out of ten.

Rubbles bar, this was our favourite barwith very friendly staff and very friendly locals. Reasonably priced. Food is like pub grub, but is good value for money and has a varied selection, from pasta dishes to burgers and salads. Daughter particulary liked the hot chocolate, me, the brandy and beer. Chisk, the local beer is nectar.
