The weather on the Island of Gozo (www.visitgozo.com) is Mediterranean , which means that the island generally experiences dry and hot summers with wet and mild winters.  Although it can be visited throughout the year, certain months can be much more comfortable than others.   

            On average, the hottest months of the year are July and August, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally hover in the upper 80’s, with temperatures in the 90’s not uncommon.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally drop to the lower 70’s.  Most tourists choose to visit during these summer months, as the water temperatures are at their warmest, and the climate is its driest. 

            The coldest months of the year on average are January and February, during which time the daily high temperatures will reach the upper 50’s and lower 60’s.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally drop to the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. 

            The Island of Gozo experiences distinct wet and dry seasons.  The wet season generally lasts from October through March, while the rest of the year is very dry.
