It is an initiative with local farmers to promote agro and eco- tourism. It was founded in Xewkija in late 2005, by Victor Galea, the Chairperson and project manager (co-ordinator) of the Ager Foundation, and his wife Miriam. "Zeppi Ta' Kurun, is one of the Gozitan farmers who has joined up with the Ager Foundation, an organisation that invites tourists to spend the day with local farmers, learning the traditional ways of making cheese and milking and shearing sheep". (quoted from: 'BBC Home' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/euro...
You and the whole family can spend a relaxing time milking goats, shearing the sheep, cutting wheat with a sickle, collecting local produce and even making the local cheeselets, 'gbejniet'. For the children, it's a totally new experience to learn about life on the farm - feeding hens, rabbits, goats and other animals, collecting freshly laid eggs and a chance to ask all the questions and having them answered by the local farmers.
