The Tycho Brahe Observatory is an amateur astronomical observatory in Oxie, a south-eastern suburb to Malmö. The observatory is open to the public during the fall/winter/spring on clear sky Monday nights, where interesting stars, galaxies, planets and nebulae are observed through the telescope, and during the summer on Sunday afternoons, where the sun is shown through special solar telescopes. Admission is free. Check the webpage http://www.tbobs.se/ for details, and exact dates and times for the shows.

The observatory is named after famous 16th century astronomer Tycho Brahe who was born, lived and made his observations in the Skåne region. The remains of Tycho Brahes castle and observatory can be seen at the Tycho Brahe Museum on the island of Ven near Landskrona.
