The food is cooked to your liking and the prices are reasonable. You pay no than approx. 7 €s for a standard 3 course meal and no more than approx. 10 €s for a large 3 course meal for large appetites.
Or you just simply order single meals to suit your needs. The greek wine is either served in half litre or 1 litre jugs which is between 4 €s and 5 €s.
Boniatas
This friendly restaurant is situated opposite the Hairy Lemon. Traditationally cooked food from Greek to Italian. It is a little more pricey than the Hairy Lemon, but it does have a take away service if it is to you liking. It does not have course meals which is more economical for the self catering families but the food is top rated and well loved. The prices for the wines, lagers and spirits vary in here.
Dino's
This restaurant is Greek owned by Dino himself. He welcomes you with open arms. The service is 100%, the food is the same as the service reasonably priced, friendly atmosphere, as Dino has you laughing from your order until you leave to go back to your hotel/apartments.
Select Resturant & Taverna KORAKIANA
Family owned and run. Gregory is the host, waiter, barman while his wife does the cooking. traditional greek meals, with all the vegetables grown by Gregory in his garden opposite the taverna.
Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Try it you will not be disappointed.
One for the road
Just by the Hairy Lemon is a local pub run by a lovely couple Phil & Joanne called the Cockeral Bar. Very friendly, very reasonably priced for drinks and tapas food. They have the Karaoke most nights, quizzes, board games for the children and darts. Pop into The Cockerel for a quiet drink and hopefully a nice chat with Phil and Jo.
NB
The local lagers here in Corfu are simular to the British prices in the pubs, but with our own beers being exported to Corfu and the prices vary from pub to pub approx 5€s ( £3.00 for a pint of lager, Guinnness and other beers ) spirits approx the same or even more than the beers. But do shop around for the best prices, plus you will find Greek bars will be a little cheaper than the British owned bars.
