Mykonos is a year round destination that offers sunshine and heat in the summer and a comfortably cool climate in the winter.  Rain is usually not a problem, with sunny days far outnumbering wet ones.

            On average, the warmest months of the year are July and August, during which time the daily high temperatures hover in the 90’s, and at times reaching above 100.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will drop to the 70’s providing comfortable sleeping weather.  On average, the coolest months of the year are January and February, during which time the daily high temperatures will be in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will drop to the 40’s, with freezing temperatures occasionally being reached. 

            Mykonos is a fairly dry island, and rain rarely ruins entire days. The wettest months of the year are February and March, but even during this time there is much sunshine to be enjoyed.  In fact, the island experiences over 300 days of sunshine per year, which means that most people visiting Mykonos come away tanned and happy. 

            Although rain may not be a major issue, wind is.  The summer and winter seasons experience consistently heavy winds.
