This restaurant on wheels is operated with two vintage tram cars (built circa 1928), which leave from Piazza Castello (Cairoli metro stop) at 8PM, returning at 10PM.  It is possible to choose between three different menus: vegetarian, meat or fish.  The food is said to be very good (although mostly prepared  in a regular kitchen before the tram departure), but the bill is rather steep at 65 euro per person, all included.

While eating in this Orient Express-styled coach, you can observe some of the most interesting monuments such as the Duomo, Arco della Pace, Colonne di San Lorenzo, Navigli and Porta Ticinese.  It is a fabulous experience, and one that must be booked well in advance.  The reservation can be made by telephone, calling Milan's Public Transport Authority (ATM) on their toll free number (800808181 - only accessible from inside Italy), or by sending an e-mail to atmosfera@atm.it from Monday to Saturday, from 11AM to 7PM.
