The Romans are very proud people - who they are.  Not in just being Italian but in being Roman.  One can see this in all aspects of everyday life and in all they do.  From the gentleman who will make you your afternoon espresso to the sales clerk in the finest of shops and all in between - all will make you feel as if you are a long lost family member and treat you warmly with the finest of respect which they expect in return.  They walk proudly and are dressed finely - from casual attire to the finest in Italian designer fashion - with an air of sophistication not to be mistaken for snobishness - they walk with their heads high and not forgetting their sunglasses.  True Romans whose family roots date back centuries will let you know that "they" are the true Romans most proud of their ancestry - can fill your head with stories and history that one would never find in any book.  As you walk through this city just take notice of all around you - that true Roman nobility!
