Viale Belle Artes intersects the Via Flaminia about one mile up from the Pizza Del Popolo. It is a seemingly quiet street, but as in most places in Rome, the traffic noise is quite high. If you want a quiet location in Rome (at night at least) then one of the narrow streets in the historic centre is the place to stay.)

It is very convenient for public transport with tram services 2 and 19 stopping nearby about ever five to ten minutes. The #2 service takes you to the Piazza Del Populo, where there is a Metro station to the Spanish Steps, Colosseum etc. The #19 service takes you to the Piazza De Risorgimento right next door to the Vatican. It is not advisable to take the #3 tram service or #23 bus service to the Colosseum unless you want a guided tour of some unattractive suburbs (although these routes do pass San Lorenzo, Santa Croce in Gerusalemme and San Giocanne Laterno).

If you walk across the Piazza Del Populo, then at the head of Via Del Corso is an electric bus service that will take you to the historic centre (Via Del Corso is long and not particularly attractive) Alternatively walk down the elegant Via Del babuino (keep an eye open for the fountain with baboons after which the street is named) to the Spanish Steps and then down the Via Condotti. Another nice walk is to the left of the Corso. Look for the Via Guilia to Piazza Farnese.

Just a half a kilometer from the Via Flaminia is the Gallerie Arte Morderne which has an excellent cafe and restaurant and opposite that is the entrance to the Borghese gardens.

In the mornings or at lunchtime, turn left on the Via Flaminia toward the Piazza Del Popul and walk down 2 hundred yards or so. On the right is an attractive typically Roman bar cafe that serves good coffee. It also has a good Tavola Calda for a cheap, good lunch. After you have had your coffee or lunch, there is a tram stop directly outside for the #2 and#19 services. Neraby ,before the Cafe is a good small shop that sells groceries drinks etc.

For bus/tran/metro tickets (there is just one ticket for all 3 services) turn right onto the Flaminia away from Piazza Del Popolo and about 400 yards away is a Tabbachi where tickets can be purchased
