Each town of the Amalfi Coast offers different types of events and festivals throughout the year, to be enjoyed by visitors heading to the area during all of the different seasons.  Some of the top choices for annual events in the area include:

  • June
    • Amalfi hosts an annual regatta enjoyed by sailing fans from all over.
    • Beginning in June and continuing throughout the summer is the Ravello Festival ( www.ravellofestival.com).
  • July
    • Atrani is the town to be in on the 22nd when locals celebrate the area’as patron saint, Maria Maddalena with fireworks and parades.
  • August
    • Start off the month in Praiano with the four day San Domenico celebration.
    • Mid-month should find visitors heading to Positano for an annual beach celebration in which pirate explorations of the area are reenacted.
    • Head to Amalfi on the last day of the month to ring in the traditional Byzantine New Year with parades and street festivals.
  • September
    • Minori is the place to be in the middle of September for a multi-day festival with food, drink, art and entertainment.
  • October
    • On the 18th, locals in Praiano celebrate their patron saint with an annual festival.
  • December
    • Christmas and New Years are widely celebrated in the area.  Atrani is an excellent choice at this time of year.
