Oviedo is located in northern Spain, but don't let that scare you off. Even though the city is in the norther part of the country, the temperatures stay warm and pleasant. If you visit during the spring or summer, you will see that the temperatures are warm and you can enjoy being outdoors all day long. You can also head to the mountains outside of the city and enjoy many sports and activities out there. If you visit during the winter you will be able to ski in the mountains away from the city. The nice thing about skiing near Oviedo is that you can hit the slopes all day long and not feel like you are freezing because the temperatures never dip too low. If you want to come to the city in the fall you will get to see some great festivals. No matter when you come to Oviedo there will be plenty of college students in the area giving the city an interesting glow. When you are packing, you should bring clothes that will keep you comfortable, but don't pack too liberally. This is a conservative town, and you don't want to offend anyone by wearing a bikini in the wrong place. You should always have a pair of pants and a light jacket with you no matter what season.
