Archbishop’s Palace

The Archbishop’s Palace is located at Plaza de la Seo, 5. The building was constructed between 1779 and 1787 as the residence of the Archbishop of Zaragoza. The façade shows two stories with large exterior windows. The bottom windows have iron bars. The upper windows are topped with triangular pediments. The main doorway is simple and is flanked by two columns and ionic pilasters, topped with a small balcony. Inside one can find the Diocesan Museum, which is quite good. In this museum there is a Virgin painted by Francisco Bayeu in 1758 and a painting of Joaquin Company, a work of Francisco de Goya in 1800. There is a cafeteria adjacent to the museum.
