The beach is the main draw for visitors to Torremolinos.   Water activities, from swimming to boogie boards keep the sun lovers occupied.

If you tire of the sun and sand, there are several parks and public gardens located throughout the city.   Several of these parks offer wooded areas with plenty of shade, picnic and barbecue facilities and fresh water streams to cool off in when it gets too hot.

Just outside the city there are several golf courses in Malaga and surrounding towns.   One of the first courses to be built in the area is Parador del Golf in Malaga.   The par 72 course has pine-tree lined fairways is fairly flat and easy to walk.

Horse lovers will want to catch the equestrian show in El Ranchito riding stables (34) 95 238 30 63 The Spanish are famed for being skilled with horses and this equestrian show is a real treat. El Ranchito also offers riding classes for children over 5 and adults.  For those with experience you can join a scheduled ride of one or two hours.  The treks take you through the peaceful countryside, a welcome retreat from the beach crowds.
