Santiago Hermitage

The Santiago Hermitage (Ermita de Santiago) is located at Plaza de los Naranjos. It is the oldest religious construction in the city of Marbella, built at the end of the 15th century and before the Plaza de los Naranjos was built. It is a simple chapel with only one nave. The chapel is the headquarters of the Cofradia del Santisimo Cristo del Amor, an important religious brotherhood. The most important image in the chapel is that of San Juan Bautista and it was made by the circle of Mariano Benlliure and was acquired by the Archicofradia de la Expiracion of Malaga.
