Munich is Germany's third largest city - so you will need some days to see all the highlights and attractions.

Most of them are in the historical town centre (Altstadt) and are easily reached on foot. Most tourists are, of course, keen on the famous Hofbräuhaus, but beside that some other sights should not be missed.  These include Marienplatz with the New City Hall's carillon (the Glockenspiel), the nice market Viktualienmarkt, the Residenz dating back to 1385, the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), or just relax in Englischer Garten, a huge, beautiful park or any of the beer gardens.
