If you’re here for the nightlife, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you want to enjoy a quiet drink with locals, or party like celebrities, you'll certainly be able to find it all in the French Riviera. For more up-to-date information on local nightlife pick up a free copy of Le Pitchoun: a French-language guide to the Riviera's bars, clubs, restaurants and more. Visit Monte-Carlo for young, up-beat, fashionable crowds and contemporary atmospheres. Spend the night in Nice for the crowds of American college students or the belle époque, Art Deco ambiance. And for celebrity-spotting and partying with the beautiful people don't miss Cannes and St-Tropez.

Best Nightlife on the French Riviera has to be in Cannes during the months of July and August - top DJ's including Bob Sinclar, P Diddy, Missy Elliott, etc etc are always playing at the Palais and Palm Beach nightclubs - some of the best clubsout there - but be aware, these places are expensive... €40 entrance fee at the big nights and €13 for a bottle of beer. Cool places though.

Nice is quite good also, with more of a student feel about it and cheaper than Cannes or Monaco.

Monaco is good but a tad over-rated - Jimmyz is good but not great, the Living Room is 'ok' -McCarthy's Irish Bar is recommended for a nice relaxed drink.
