The 12th century Cathedrale de Notre-Dame des Doms was originally Romanesque in style, but following the creation of the Papal Palace, the church was enhanced with a tower, baroque arches, and other embellishments.  The church features elaborate tombs of the popes and a magnificent treasury room.
