Riverdance returns to the INEC for three separate run on dates from May to September 2008. Of all the performances to emerge from Ireland in the past decade - in rock, music, theatre and film - nothing has carried the energy, the sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance. It has been seen live by over eighteen million people in over two hundred and fifty venues worldwide, throughout thirty countries across four continents.

My Boy Elvis

June 28th

My Boy Elvis – The Musical is a full length music and dance spectacular that focuses on the relationship between Elvis and his legendary manager Colonel Tom Parker. It features the Spirit of Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker in the afterlife contemplating how his legacy on earth will be remembered and reminiscing and pondering on how things could have been different. As the pair search for answers they are aided by the recollections of a variety of family members such as Elvis’ mother and father and his wife Priscilla. They are also joined by friends and acquaintances from the entertainment business including Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, John Lennon and  President Richard Nixon. It features a feast of Elvis songs including old favourites such as Hound Dog, Tutti Frutti, The Wonder of You, Suspicious Minds, An American Trilogy and Burning Love.

Des Bishop

Having spent the past twelve months of intense study and immersion in Connemara’s Gaeltact in an effort to speak as Gaeilge – Des Bishop is back on the road again. Drawing from his experiences, the star of the revolutionary RTE show ‘In the Name of the Fada’, comes to with his live stand up show Tongues. Tongues deals with Des’s most formidable challenge yet, taking the ultimate step towards Irishness. Already attracting rave reviews, Tongues also explores the religious side of Des’s identity, from his early days as an overly theatrical altar boy to his experience with people who have the power to speak in tongues.
