Taxi cabs are readily available at the train station. You can also find them concentrated near New Bond Street at the Podium Shopping Centre or you can hire one by phone, if you are in a less urban area of Bath. Hotels will often have listings of preferred taxi companies they can offer to guests. As is typical in many places, extra charges can be incurred for extra passengers, luggage, night or holiday travel.

Driving around Bath is not difficult, so if your trip includes excursions outside of the immediate area, consider renting a car. There are plenty of areas to find parking inside the city when you do return. All of the major car rental companies service the area.
