Brighton's marina is one of the biggest in Europe. It is at the eastern end of the town - you can walk along the waterfront till you come to it, or ride most of the way from the pier on the Volks railway, which was the first electric train in Britain. The No 7 bus gets to it from the town centre.
The marina has pubs and restaurants as well as shops, a cinema and a big supermarket. If the weather is good you can eat outside at most of the restaurants.
For a few pounds you can take a boat trip along the coast, or go fishing for mackerel on a licensed fishing boat. At weekends in the summer there is sometimes an open air market.
