Visitors to the Cape Cod area often arrive by plane.  The nearest international airport is the Boston Logan Airport ( http://www.boston-bos.com/) which is located in Eastern Boston.  This five-terminal airport is served by all of the popular major international airlines such as Delta, American Airlines, Air Jamaica and Iceland Air.  For a complete listing of all of the airlines serving this airport, visitors can check the airport’s website at the following page:  http://www.boston-bos.com/airlines.html.

Visitors to the Cape Cod area are reminded that the Boston Logan Airport is in Boston, not in Cape Cod.  The airport is approximately an hour’s drive away from Cape Cod, so most visitors opt to rent a car upon arrival at the airport.  More information about car rental options in the area is available at http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g18... .  Visitors who opt not to rent a car can take a taxi or shuttle from the airport but this can get somewhat expensive and car rental is highly recommended.

Visitors who are driving to Cape Cod, either from the airport or from another location, will have to take one of two bridges across the Cape Cod Canal.  Visitors are forewarned that the worst Cape Cod traffic is the bridge traffic during the tourist season, so travelers should try to avoid the busiest times of the day and to exercise great patience in getting to the area.
