Hi to all interested in Madang, Papua New Guinea. The Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral in Madang, P.N.G was built by my father Roy Köhnke in 1963,64. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Hartwig Köhnke who built the first hospital at Malahang, Lae, in the 1930´s and the first Bank of New South Wales in Rabaul. My father chose an open plan design, to catch the breeze and he respected the local style and used a lot of local materials. He was blessed by the Anglican Bishop, David Hand at the inaugeration ceremony.
