The Marché du Vieux-Port / Farmer's Market in Lower Town, at 160 rue St-André, is popular among locals and tourists as well. It is open all year round, but is specially bustling every December when its Christmas Market  takes place. Maple products, sweet delicacies and some peculiar local products not found elsewhere (marinades, mustards, jams, confits [duck or goose], rillettes, pâtés, fare, cranberries products, exotic spices from all over the world, etc) await you. A good variety of cheeses, spruce beer, local liqueurs and an astonishing selection of ice ciders all available for complimentary tasting contribute to the pleasure of discovering high quality unique products, and will most certainly make original gifts for those you love.

The Market can be reached on foot if you are strolling in the antiquaries sector, it stands within walking distance from the bus/train station Gare du Palais. Free parking spaces.

The gentrifying St-Roch neighborhood (St-Joseph St) has quite many interesting little shops in the vicinity of the Market.
