Taverne Crescent's food is very good (try the Royale with Cheese) and the service is excellent.  It has quite a few large HD TVs and they show all of the major sporting events.  If you are lucky enough, on hockey nights, you may see a few superstars.  On weekends, the upstairs bar is a great place to see live music.
