The Air Canada Centre is a multi-purpose entertainment facility. It hosts concerts by some the worlds biggest stars like Tina Turner, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Metallica, KISS, Jay-Z, and Andrea Bocelli. Renowned for its great acoustics, the venue is one of the largest of its kind with state of the art equipment. It’s also home to some of the most competitive sports teams. The high-flying Raptors call the ACC their home court. There have been many great dunks and three-sixties which have graced the rims at the ACC. The Leafs have yet to bring Lord Stanley’s Cup home. Once the best time in the league in the past they have been inconsistent in recent years but will, hopefully, soon be lifted into the stratosphere of the NHL. The Toronto Rock, the lacrosse team, has brought home a few championships. They’re rock ‘em, sock ‘em play will commence in January. The games are always going at full tilt. Be sure to catch one of these competitive Toronto teams when you’re in town. The air at the Air Canada Centre will be abuzz with many die-hard fans expressing their approval and even sometimes their lack of mirth. Regardless, it’s always a great atmosphere to get caught up in either hockey, basketball, lacrosse, or sit back to hear a virtuosic singer or energized band bust out the tunes.
